Pat Robertson and other radio and televangelists began speaking about a new political religion that would direct it's efforts at taking control of all institutions, including main stream denomations and the government. It's stated goal was to use the United States to create a global Christian empire. Today such language no longer sounds like hyperbole but poses, instead, a very real threat to our freedom and our way of life.
